Our family has been serving the Lord in Southeast Asia since March 2004. For 13 years, our family ministered in Cambodia. In July 2017, our family transitioned to Thailand with the goal of learning Central Thai and partnering with Thai believers in evangelism, discipleship and church-planting. We also have a strong desire to reach out to the more than 1.5 million Cambodians who live in Thailand.

On the first part in August we went in to “Missions in the Mountains Baptist Church.” Praise the Lord that the road was better than we expected it. It took us 6 hours on my four wheel truck to travel 75 miles. Once we got there we put our tent and the people started to arrive for the service. There were around 200 people hungry for God’s Word. One made profession of faith in the Lord and six were baptized at the river. Our trip to Vallegrande was very encouraging. I was there five days preaching on missions and teaching regarding faith promise missionary giving. It was a blessing to see dear believers giving toward the missionary program of their churches and taking the gospel to remote villages that have access only either by foot or horseback riding.

Jenna grew up in Paraguay, South America, as a missionary kid. The Lord called her into missions, giving her a burden for Africa, where her grandparents served for over 60 years. After Bible college and a short-term missionary opportunity, she completed a one-year program at a Bible translation training school. Jim grew up in Ohio, attended a Christian school, and then went to Bible college. After serving as a short-term missionary, the Lord led Jim and Jenna together; they were married in 2000. The Wrights served for eight years with two other missionary families in northern Cameroon until terrorism forced out foreigners. However, Bible translation involvement there connected the Wrights to Bibles International, the Bible Society of Baptist Mid-Missions. Jenna applies her Spanish knowledge and writing skills while Jim is training as a translation consultant. Jim and Jenna reside with their four children in West Michigan.

Ron and Brenda Ruse have been involved in mission work in Nova Scotia, Canada, for the past 35 years. During that time they have been involved in planting and establishing six churches. They presently are continuing the work of establishing Grace Ind. Baptist church in Truro, Nova Scotia. Over the past seven years, both Ron and Brenda have taught block classes at Emmanuel Baptist Bible Institute. These classes aim to equip Canadian Christians for future ministry.
Ron grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, IL. He met Brenda in college, and they have been married for over 27 years. Brenda grew up in Westerville, OH, and is the daughter of Roger and Emma Jane Bixler who also serve with GFA Missions.
God continues to bless the church planting ministry in Truro, NS. God has also used their summer Bible School ministry to bring new children and families to the church.
The Ruses have three children. Laura is married to Ryan Thien. They live in Piedmont, SC. David is married to Andrea Coblentz. They live in Greer, SC. Krista lives in Piedmont, SC.

Doug and Barbara began ministering to Koreans in1980. Doug was reared in a pastor's home and Barbara on the mission field, first in Japan and then in Korea, where her parents served with GFA. Like both sets of parents before them, Doug and Barbara also met at Bob Jones University. They graduated and were married in 1977. Called to missions but uncertain of the specific field to which the Lord was directing them, they served on a short-term basis with Barbara's parents in South Korea, where Doug taught for one year at Bob Jones Memorial Institute (BJMI). The Lord used that year to clearly direct them to ministry there. Along with Korean co-laborers and other missionaries, Doug has continued to teach at BJMI, training future Christian workers and men for ministry. Many of these men were ordained and have planted churches throughout Korea and other places throughout the world.

Belinda was born and raised in southeastern Nebraska. She holds a BA in physical therapy and attended Bob Jones University as a graduate student from 1991-1997.
Belinda has been in Papua New Guinea since 1999 under GFA. She first went to PNG as a short-term missionary and assisted in homeschooling the two oldest sons of Michael and Janice Berbin. During this ministry Belinda became involved in working with the nationals as well.
After completing a second short-term, she returned to work full-time in the Highlands region of PNG in 2003. Her primary ministry is with the national ladies and children. Belinda also works with the adult literacy program and evangelism.
Belinda is able to use some of her physical therapy skills by assisting in the medical clinic in Aibai. Her greatest joys are teaching the ladies and seeing them apply Scriptural principles to their own lives and "seeing the lights go on" as she teaches people how to read and write.
